Trailer: Jim Carrey Experiences Super Dark Times in Alexandros Avranas’ Dark Crimes

Jim Carrey is taking a much-needed turn to the dark side of life with his new film Dark Crimes from director Alexandros Avranas. The film is based on a true crime case in Poland and the 2008 The New Yorker article by David Grann it inspired.

Dark Crimes is directed by Alexandros Avranas from a script written by Jeremy Brock and stars Jim Carrey, Marton Csokas, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. The film hits DirecTV exclusively April 19 before expanding to select theaters and VOD May 18.

Synopsis:

A police officer named Tadek finds similarities between an unsolved murder and a crime outlined in a book by famed writer Krystov Kozlow. As Tadek begins to track Kozlow and his girlfriend, a mysterious sex club worker, his obsession grows and he descends into an underworld of sex, lies, and corruption to find the shocking truth.
