Producer Confirms Stephen King’s IT: Chapter 2 Begins Filming This July!
A few months ago we let you guys know that director Andres Muschietti’s follow up to Stephen King’s IT was rumored to begin shooting this summer at Pinewood Toronto Studios.
And today we learned that producer Roy Lee has confirmed to IndieWire Andres Muschietti’s IT: Chapter 2 will, in fact, begin filming this July.
Lee tells the site, “The script is still being finalized and the locations are currently being scouted in anticipation of shooting.” Meaning the casting of the adult Loser’s Club should be underway soon as the movie already has a set release date in September 2019.

IT is directed by Andrés Muschietti from a script by Chase Palmer & Cary Joji Fukunaga and Gray Dauberman, based on the novel by Stephen King. The film stars Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague, Javier Botet, Steven Williams, and Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
