And the lineup for this year’s Sitges Film Festival, which runs 6-16 October on the Catalan coast of Spain, continues to grow. A big batch of “Special Session” short films has been added to the lineup, including seven episodes of the Cinemax “Femme Fatales” TV series directed by a host of popular genre directors such as Richard Hollis, Frank McCloud, Steve Kriozere, Mark A. Altman, Darin Scott, and Buddy Giovinazzo.
The episodes heading to Sitges are Behind Locked Doors, Help Me Rhonda, Bad Medicine, Something Like Murder, Speed Date, Trophy Wife and Haunted. Tanit Phoenix portrays play Lilith, a mysterious, enigmatic narrator who ties all the episodes, which revolve around the femme fatale archetype, together.
Below are some stills from Behind Locked Doors (Nos. 1 and 2), Haunted (Nos. 3-5) and Trophy Wife (Nos. 6 and 7), a clip from Behind Locked Doors starring Carlee Baker, and an introductory video from Cinemax.
Be sure to visit the official Sitges Film Festival website for the rest of the lineup announced thus far and lots more!
