Horror Rules The Box-Office
This weekend saw the release of two (I guess) highly anticipated films at the box-office with Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson’s new creature feature smash em up Rampage and Blumhouse’s new teen horror flick Truth or Dare.
Rampage scored an impressive $34.5 million for the weekend putting it on the top of the week, while Truth or Dare gathered up a respectable $19 million.
But the real news this weekend was the staying power of director John Krasinski’s horror-thriller A Quiet Place.
In its second week at the box-office, the film managed to snag $32.6 million, down from its rather epic opening last week of $50 million. With a domestic cume just shy of $100 million after just ten days, A Quiet Place is now officially a full-blown smash and we couldn’t be happier.
Here’s the full Top Ten:
1. Rampage $34,500,000
2. A Quiet Place $32,600,000
3. Truth or Dare $19,080,000
4. Ready Player One $11,205,000
5. Blockers $10,295,000
6. Black Panther $5,342,000
7. Isle Of Dogs $5,000,000
