Last week’s debut pairing of “The Vampire Diaries” with “The Secret Circle” gave The CW some of its best ratings ever, and that trend is likely to continue tomorrow. To help whet everyone’s appetites for both shows, the network has released preview videos featuring TVD executive producer Julie Plec introducing “The Hybrid” and TSC co-executive producers Andrew Miller and Kevin Williamson promising you’re about to see powers that are raging out of control in “Bound”.
First up is TVD’s “The Hybrid”, which introduces us to “the new order”.
Episode 3.02 “The Hybrid” (9/22/11 Air Date; 8:00-9:00 PM):
Klaus (Joseph Morgan) puts a plan in motion that will give him even more power, but even with the unwilling participation of werewolf Ray Sutton (guest star David Gallagher), things don’t go exactly as Klaus had planned. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) reluctantly go along with Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new strategy to find Stefan (Paul Wesley), leading Damon into a dangerous fight with an unexpected enemy.
Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) turns to Matt (Zach Roerig) for help as he continues to try to understand what the ghosts from his past want from him. Unaware that Caroline (Candice Accola) is in need of his help, Tyler (Michael Trevino) faces an emotional confrontation with his mother (guest star Susan Walters).
Josh Butler directed the episode written by Al Septien and Turi Meyer.

In an effort to distance herself from the Circle and establish a normal teenage life in Chance Harbor, Cassie (Britt Robertson) befriends Sally Matthews (guest star Logan Browning), a non-witch.
Concerned their powers are getting out of control, Diana (Shelley Hennig) pushes everyone to bind the Circle, but Faye (Phoebe Jane Tonkin) is thrilled with the increase in her powers and refuses to participate, while Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) flirts with Nick (Louis Hunter) despite Faye’s warnings. Meanwhile Adam (Thomas Dekker) fights his growing feelings for Cassie, but circumstances continue to throw them together, forcing Cassie to make a decision.
Gale Harold, Natasha Henstridge, and Ashley Crow also star. Liz Friedlander directed the episode written by Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller.
