ALIEN Day Gets Emotional With This In Memoriam Video
As we all know, April 26 is Alien Day. A reference to LV-426, the planet from both Alien and Aliens, today has been a celebration of the 20th Century Fox franchise that began in 1979 with director Ridley Scott and writer Dan O’Bannon’s screenplay. For nearly 40 years, the Xenomorph has terrorized audiences in multiple films, dozens of comics, plenty of video games, and more merchandise than pretty much any home could ever hope to store. But while we flood our timelines with the joy of celebrating this storied sci-fi/horror franchise, we should also take a moment to remember those that we have lost along the way.
It’s with this in mind that Job Willins has created a stirring and beautiful “In Memoriam” for the characters throughout the films whose lives have tragically been cut short either by an alien being or through their own stupidity. Yes, I’m looking at you scientists from both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
So let’s bow our heads and lend our thoughts to the poor souls who have died so that Weyland-Yutani’s shares could go up a quarter of a percent.
