HELLBOY: THE BOARD GAME Reached its Kickstarter Goal in Eighteen Minutes
With a target goal of $137,610, the official Hellboy board game was successfully funded just eighteen minutes after it went live on Kickstarter, and within its first 26 hours, has already raised over $1 million. The game is based on characters created by Mike Mignola in 1993.
Hellboy: The Board Game was created by the UK-based Mantic Games, and can be played by up to four players. As you can probably expect, it will come with a collection of gorgeous miniature figures of the most popular characters from the franchise, which are all pictured on the campaign page. Each of the miniatures were personally approved by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, and are made of high quality grey PVC plastic. If, however, you happen to be more interested in the actual gameplay than the miniatures, you can enjoy a long-play video below.
The game is expected to ship in February 2019, one month after Lionsgate releases the Neil Marshall-directed Hellboy reboot on January 11, 2019.
