Amblin’s THE TURNING with Mackenzie Davis and Finn Wolfhard Snags Release Date
One of my favorite horror movies of all time is The Innocents directed by Jack Clayton. And it’s with this in mind that I’m super interested to check out Universal and Amblin’s upcoming “readaptation” of Henry James’ novella The Turning of the Screw called The Turning.
This new adaptation stars Mackenzie Davis (Terminator) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, Stephen King’s IT) and today we have word via Deadline that the flick will be hitting theaters in February of next year.
An exact date has not yet been released.
That said, we will make sure to hit you guys up to date on the film so stay tuned! Until then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think thus far in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
The new film is directed by Floria Sigismondi and stars Mackenzie Davis, Finn Wolfhard, Joely Richardson and newcomer Brooklyn Prince. The script is written by Chad & Carey Hayes (The Conjuring) with Jade Bartlett, and Roy Lee and Scott Bernstein produce.
Synopsis:
The Turning is a haunted house thriller that follows a nanny who oversees two distributed orphans who are harboring dark secrets at an estate in Maine.
