THE CHANGELING Remake Coming from Director of DAREDEVIL and GHOST RIDER
One of the best haunted house flicks out there is Peter Medak’s The Changeling starring George C. Scott. And it looks like Hollywood is well aware of this as today we have word the classic film is next on the remake chopping block.
THR reports that Cornerstone Films is moving into production on the remake of the 1980s supernatural classic. The film will be the company’s first “original” feature.
The remake will be written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil, Ghost Rider) and will shift the action from the U.S. to Venice, Italy.
Oh. Good.
I hate to pass judgment on this Mark Steven Johnson fellow before we’ve even seen any of the man’s work… Oh, wait. We have. Multiple times. Heaven help us.
