John Cho’s Laptop-POV Thriller SEARCHING Gets Trailer and Poster

This August we will see the release of yet another horror-thriller which all takes place from the POV of a laptop ala Unfriended and Open Windows. This time the film is called Searching and stars John Cho (The Exorcist) and is produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter).

This new found footage (?) film marks the feature debut of director Aneesh Chaganty and co-stars Debra Messing (The Mothman Prophecies), Joseph Lee, and Michelle La.

Synopsis:

After David Kim’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.
