The First Teaser For THE SINKING CITY Has Been Released!
After months of writing about concept art, Q&A videos, and behind-the-scenes looks at the development of the game, the first official teaser for Frogware’s The Sinking City has been released and its suitably surreal, eerie, and fascinating. While there isn’t a shred of story being presented, nor do I see any gameplay footage, the visuals presented exude eldritch madness and Lovecraft-ian horror. Basically, even though I fully admit I was hooked before, I’m completely committed at this point. Bring it on and let me swim amongst the elder gods!
“Can you hear that voice in your head getting louder and louder? That’s me. This is not the last time we will talk…
Taking place in the 1920s, The Sinking City is a game of adventure and investigation set in an open world inspired by the works of the famous American horror author H.P. Lovecraft. You will step into the shoes of a private investigator who arrives in the city of Oakmont Massachusetts – a city suffering from unprecedented floods of supernatural origins. You must uncover the source of whatever has taken possession of the city – and the minds of its inhabitants.”
The Sinking City will be released later this year for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. To learn more about The Sinking City, make sure to read our interviews with Narrative Lead Sergey Ten and Concept Artist Andrey Roscha.
