New Exorcism Flick THE CLEANSING HOUR Adds Kyle Gallner
Skubalon Entertainment is currently focused on creating low-budget supernatural horror and thriller content for film, TV and digital platforms and today we have word on their new film The Cleansing Hour.
The film has just snagged one of our beloved genre’s most consistent actor, Kyle Gallner. Gallner is best known for starring in such neo-classics as Red State, A Nightmare on Elm Street remake, and Jennifer’s Body… I didn’t say these were films everyone loves…
The contained horror thriller marks the feature debut for editor turned director Damien LeVeck and will co-star Ryan Guzman (The Boy Next Door) and Alix Angelis (The Magnificent Seven).
You can check out the short film that inspired the feature below, and then make sure to hit us up and let us know if you’re excited to check out this new exorcism horror movie in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
The film was written by Damien LeVeck and Aaron Horwitz. Shirit Bradley (Godzilla: King of Monsters), Dan Clifton (The Den, The Belko Experiment), Natalie LeVeck and Damien LeVeck are producing under the Skubalon Entertainment banner.
The film begins shooting in Bucharest, Romania next month.
Synopsis:
The Cleansing Hour follows best friends Max and Drew (Guzman and Gallner) who run a popular webcast that stages exorcisms to look real. When the actress of the day (Angelis) becomes mysteriously possessed by a real demon, the friends must work against the show clock to figure out the demon’s sinister motive, while the demon exposes the trio’s dark secrets before a rapidly-growing global audience.
