The original film was directed by Stuart Gordon from a screenplay by Dennis Paoli, based on the story The Outsider by H.P. Lovecraft. It starred Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Jonathan Fuller, and Jessica Dollarhide.
The remake will be directed by Tate Steinsiek who served as the creature/puppet designer and special effects coordinator on Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich.
Synopsis:
An American family (Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Jessica Dollarhide) that has suffered tragedy inherits an Italian castle complete with bloodthirsty monster.
And have you heard we are reimagining it in a new film? The story will have elements of the first but with many new characters and an expanded Lovecraft universe. https://t.co/LJcbj7wEWW
