Stephen King’s DARK TOWER Series Still “Very Much Alive” at Amazon
We’ve known for a while now that Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is set to get a (proper) adaptation via Amazon in the near-future. But is that still the plan?
Evidently, it is as Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke was recently asked by Deadline about the current status of their planned adaptation and said it is “very much alive.”
“Those are scripts that I haven’t gotten yet,” Salke said. “I’ll be seeing those, that material, in the coming weeks. None of those things are dead. They’re very much alive.”
How excited are you to know Amazon still plans to bring King’s series to the screen? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
Synopsis:
Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), the last Gunslinger, is locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim (Matthew McConaughey), also known as the Man in Black. The Gunslinger must prevent the Man in Black from toppling the Dark Tower, the key that holds the universe together. With the fate of worlds at stake, two men collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.
