E3 2018: Overkill’s THE WALKING DEAD Looks Gruesome and Gorgeous
While AMC’s The Walking Dead may be stagnating, the universe it takes place in is ripe for more stories and more adaptations. Enter Overkill’s The Walking Dead, which is a four-player co-op FPS where you and your team will have to face not only the dead but the living as well.
Much like Left 4 Dead, players will choose between one of four characters (Aidan, Heather, Maya and Grant), with each character having their own skill tree, squad role, play style and background story.
The trailer shows off the ways that your team will have to navigate through Washington D.C. while avoiding hordes of the undead as well as bands of the living who are impeding your path. With stunning visuals that are both gruesome and beautiful, it looks like Overkill has something really special on their hands. Plus, I need something to fill that Left 4 Dead void in my heart!
“Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op multiplayer FPS action game set in Washington, D.C., as an outbreak brings the dead back to life. In this test of strategy and endurance, players will band together with up to three friends on a variety of missions and raids, securing supplies and survivors to strengthen their base camp against the threat of both the dead and the living-by any means necessary.”
Overkill’s The Walking Dead comes out November 6 in N. America and November 8 in the rest of the world.
