Recently we published a tribute to Kane Hodder in the form of the highly sought after Doctor Gash’s Tip of the Scalpel Award. Unfortunately, in all the excitement of naming Kane as one of the first ever recipients of the honor, I forgot to mention the fact that he is currently on tour to promote his new biography, Unmasked: The True Story of the World’s Most Prolific Cinematic Killer, which tells his amazing life story.
As told by Kane to author Mike Aloisi, Unmasked documents Hodder’s amazing 30-year career, including his rise to fame as Jason Voorhees, his life-changing burn injury, and his remarkable comeback and part in the creation of new horror icon Victor Crowley in the Hatchet series. Adam Green, the director of Hatchet, provides the introduction.
In addition to working with Hodder on Unmasked, Aloisi created a companion journal entitled The Killer & I about his experiences with Hodder as they created the book. Both works can be purchased online at kanehodderkills.com in a variety of packages, one of which includes autographed copies, a tour t-shirt, and poster.
In fact, be sure to head over to kanehodderkills.com because in addition to being able to purchase your copy of the book, you can also check out upcoming dates for the Unmasked book tour and buy official tour swag. The site also provides a link for the charity Scares That Care. A portion of the proceeds from the special edition of Unmasked will be donated to this very worthy cause.
To get yourself in the mood, be sure to scroll down and check out a video montage of some of Hodder’s career highlights.
