After featuring video interviews from the cast of The Thing over the past couple of days, it’s now time to hear from the director and producers who have the daunting task of living up to John Carpenter’s masterpiece.
Director Matthijs van Heijningen elaborates on the human-like attributes of The Thing as well as the crew’s determination to kill The Thing. Meanwhile, producers Marc Abraham and Eric Newman describe Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s work as the female lead and the theme of trust in the film, respectively.
The Thing stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eric Christian Olsen, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jonathan Walker, and Dennis Storhøi. It is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen and is written by Eric Heisserer and Ronald D. Moore.
