Stephen King’s PET SEMATARY Remake Casts New Gage and Ellie Creed

Earlier this week, the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary got underway with Jason Clarke as new Louis Creed, John Lithgow as new Jud Crandall, and Amy Seimetz as Rachel.

And today we have word via EW that Gage and Ellie Creed have been cast as well. Ten-year-old Jeté Laurence will play Ellie and three-year-old twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie will play Gage. The film will be a first for the Lavoie brothers. Laurence has some horror experience, as she just had a role in director Jenn Wexler’s The Ranger.

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
