Build Bases And Fend Off Zombies In DEAD ISLAND: SURVIVORS
Although Dead Island 2 is still a long way off, the franchise still lives on in the form of the newly released tower defense spin-off Dead Island: Survivors.
Developed by Fishlabs and available now on iOS and Android, the main objective of Dead Island: Survivors is for you to defend your island paradise from hoards of hungry zombies using any means necessary. You’ll be able to erect barriers, set traps, mount sentry guns, plant bombs, and experiment with all kinds of different methods to keep the zombies at bay. Staying true to the Dead Island franchise, melee combat will also play a large role in Survivors, so you’ll also be taking out zombies the old fashioned way. Although keep in mind, with this being a free-to-play title, it’s crammed with microtransactions, which range from $0.99 to $99.99, so expect your wallet to be lighter if you want to reach the end.
Dead Island fans many be pleased to see that the trailer for Survivors in presented in the same reverse chronological slow motion style as the incredibly famous trailer for the first game, albeit with a decidedly more upbeat tone. Deep Silver have confirmed on Twitter that Dead Island 2 is indeed still in development, but as it won’t be hitting stores for quite some time, fans will have to make do with Survivors for now.
