TRAILER: Frat Life Gets Scary in Daniel Robbins’ PLEDGE
Frat life has never been so scary. And we don’t mean the recent wave of headlines and controversies. Hot newcomer Daniel Robbins’ film Pledge is set to premiere this July at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival, and we have the first look at the teaser trailer.
Inspired by the rise of the social thriller, Pledge promises to take a centuries-old American tradition to new extremes and explore the power dynamics that have led to so many deaths on American campuses.
Produced by New York-based Stag Pictures in association with BoulderLight Pictures (Dismissed, Bad Match), the film stars Zack Weiner (Uncaged), Phillip Botello (Criminal Minds) and Zachery Byrd (Blindspot) as nerdy freshmen pitted against menacing frat bros Cameron Cowperthwaite (American Horror Story: Cult), Aaron Dalla Villa (Duels), and Jesse Pimentel (Resident Evil 7: Biohazard).
Featuring heart-pounding suspense modeled after naturalistic thrillers like Green Room and Cheap Thrills, Pledge would make any freshman think twice about joining Greek life.
