FrightFest 2018: Trailer For Fest Unveiled and List of Guests Revealed

Ahead of this year’s Arrow Video FrightFest, the London-based genre festival has revealed this year’s trailer as well as its (ever expanding) list of guests. Directors, writers, producers, and stars from around the world will converge on the fest to promote their titles and partake in the genre event, which will see audiences come from just as far.

In addition to the trailer and guest line-up, two additional films have been added to the slate: David Baker’s modern transgressive erotic thriller Pimped as well as the 4K restoration of John Carpenter’s Halloween, which comes just in time for the film’s 40th anniversary!

Established in 2016 to celebrate the work of emerging UK genre talent, FrightFest is proud to team up for the third year running with Screen International to present the “Screen Genre Rising Star Award”. This year’s long list salutes the work of Kevin Chicken, director of Perfect Skin, actresses Hannah Arterton and Ella Hunt, Aislinn Clarke (director of The Devil’s Doorway), Mike Mort, director of Chuck Steel: Night of the Trampires, actress/producer Marcia Do Vales, and actor Sam Gittins, The short list will be announced prior to the event.

FrightFest takes place at Cineworld Leicester Square and The Prince Charles Cinema between Aug 23-Aug 27. More information can be found at the festival’s official website.
