The Forces of Heaven and Hell Wage War in DEVIL’S HUNT
At first glance, Devil’s Hunt may look like a new installment in the Devil May Cry franchise, despite the fact that it’s actually an adaptation of Polish author Paweł Leśniak’s fantasy horror novel Equilibrium. Published in 2012, the book dealt with a war between the forces of Heaven and Hell, with Desmond, a man with extraordinary demonic abilities, being caught in the middle. Aside from giving us a look at some of the demonic creatures you’ll be facing, and also shows off Desmond’s glowing red arm, which seems to channel his powers.
Speaking to PC Gamer, director Michał Sadowski said that Devil’s Hunt will take place in Hell, although there will also be sections in both the USA and a currently unnamed ancient city. Although gameplay will mostly be action-oriented, there will also be puzzles for the player to solve, in addition to RPG elements in the form of being able to assign skill points to modify your play style.
Devil’s Hunt will be the first title developed by newly-formed Polish studio Layopi Games, and will be published by 1C Company on the PS4, Xbox One, and Steam towards the end of next year. Sadowski is also hoping that it will be the first entry in a franchise, but will probably ultimately depend on how well it sells.
