Ladies and gentlemen, Chopper has arrived. And the tense initial offering has set the stage for the horror that is sure to come. Featuring a showdown between horror big boys Tyler Mane and Andrew Bryniarski, the first episode of Chopper, entitled Slice 1, certainly does a nice job setting the stage in the biker-themed horror series.

The twisted mysteries of Chopper lie intriguingly ahead for us, but for now this seven-minute set-up episode is going to have to be enough. We haven’t even gotten into the supernatural aspect of the series yet (unless you count the awesomeness of Tyler Mane’s beard), and I’m already roped in!

Scroll down to check out Slice 1 of the Chopper series in its entirety.

From the Press Release
While Paranormal Activity 3 was scaring up box office records in the theaters this past weekend – proving the horror genre’s undying vitality – another original ghost story was creeping its way into people’s homes via the internet. Chopper, an online horror series starring Tyler Mane (Michael Myers, Halloween) and Andrew Bryniarski (Leatherface, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), launched its premiere episode late Friday night and proved its own scrappy success by managing to go viral despite the challenges of producing and promoting web series with micro-budgets compared to traditional Hollywood fare.

The first episode (aka “Slice 1”) was designed to introduce audiences to the scary world of outlaw bikers that underpins the series’ sub-plots, along with establishing the explosive tension between key characters that will lead to bloody mayhem in future episodes. Former brothers-in-arms Mad Dog (Bryniarski) and Jeremiah Carver (Mane), aka Chopper, face off over the whereabouts of Chopper’s signature blade and leave audiences wondering what insanity might unfold when they meet again. Future episodes will shed light on who – or what – ultimately wrestled control of the deadly blade and set up new storylines intended to unfold in future seasons both online and via feature film(s).

Produced by Dilemma, a Los Angeles-based branded entertainment and marketing communications agency, Chopper is essentially a contemporary spin on the timeless Sleepy Hollow mythology. Storylines revolve around a headless outlaw biker seeking vengeance in the afterlife by killing mortal sinners. The project – based on the recent Asylum Press comic – was written, produced and directed by Dilemma principal J.C. Christofilis. Chopper received sponsorship support from bold brands including the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival and Sullen Clothing and also features special appearances from bands including Machine Head, Straightline Stitch and Unearth. Newcomers Attika7 (former members of Biohazard and Static-X) also contribute heavily to the rocking soundtrack.

Christofilis commented, “We are extremely proud and excited that fans are discovering and supporting the creation of an original horror icon online. Chopper was developed to leverage transmedia storytelling tactics to create a new horror franchise from scratch by finding and building our audience across multiple platforms. Our promotional videos have already surpassed 1 million views total, and we believe our strategy will continue to show proof-of-concept as we unleash more content this year and beyond.”

For fans in the Los Angeles area this Halloween weekend, Chopper has been given a prime slot for exposure at the Long Beach Comic and Horror Con with a fan panel at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 29th. And be sure to follow Chopper’s social media for more announcements about the launch of future episodes Halloween week and to gain access to more exclusive content and contests. Chopper is on Facebook andTwitter (@ChopperLives).
