HEREDITARY Director’s Next Horror Movie Scores Leading Lady
This past year, first-time writer-director Ari Aster wowed all of us with his first film Hereditary starring Toni Collette and Gabriel Byrne.
His next film is in the works and today Deadline reports that – while the film has yet to score a title – it has gathered up it’s leading lady in the form of Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth).
The actress confirmed the casting over on Twitter writing:
And what a role this will be… god am I pumped/nervous/can’t believe this is happening. #smugpug https://t.co/1vJYmwNxXz

The untitled A24 horror film will be written and directed by Aster with Lars Knudsen producing. The Wicker Man-esque plot will follow a young woman who joins her boyfriend on a summer trip where things quickly go awry thanks to a local pagan cult.
The film is said to start shooting in Eastern Europe soon.
