HALLOWEEN – Whatever Happened to Judith Myers? Where is Sandy Johnson? Win Convention Tickets!
Speaking earlier today with the folks behind the upcoming H40: Forty Years of Terror Convention, it was brought to my attention that the hunt is on for the original Judith Myers, actress Sandy Johnson. One check of her IMDb page reveals that she’s largely been missing from the movie scene since 1979.
Her bio on that site reads as follows:
Comely, busty and sexy brunette stunner Sandy Johnson was born on July 7, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. She grew up in San Antonio and has four older sisters. Moreover, Johnson attended Santa Monica Community College. Sandy was the Playmate of the Month in the June, 1974 issue of Playboy. Johnson made a regrettably brief foray into film acting in the wake of her Playboy pictorial. Sandy achieved her greatest enduring cult cinema popularity as Michael Myers’ ill-fated sister Judith Margaret Myers who gets brutally murdered by her crazed younger brother during the startling opening sequence of John Carpenter’s outstanding seasonal slasher horror classic Halloween. Johnson had more substantial supporting parts in the amusing lowbrow drive-in comedy romps Surfer Girls, Jokes My Folks Never Told Me, H.O.T.S., and Gas Pump Girls. Sandy Johnson’s last movie role to date was as a ballroom dancer in Mel Brooks’ typically broad fright feature send-up Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
“We would LOVE to bring Sandy in to meet her many fans for the H40: Forty Years of Terror Convention, but we haven’t had any luck locating her,” said con organizer Sean Clark. “If any of the fans can help us find her and she is positively ID’ed, we’d be happy to offer them a pair of complimentary tickets to the event.”
So the ball’s in your court, guys! If you or someone you know has any idea as to the whereabouts of Sandy Johnson, please send an e-mail to H40@cox.net with “Sandy Johnson” in your subject line.
The H40: Forty Years of Terror Convention takes place October 12-14 in Pasadena, CA, at the Pasadena Convention Center. I’ll be on hand hosting some panels so be sure to say hi and, of course, trick ‘r treat! For more information visit the official H40 website and H40 on Facebook.
