Dread Central Hosts BOARDING SCHOOL Screening in NYC With Director Boaz Yakin Attending
Dread Central will be hosting a free screening of writer/director Boaz Yakin’s edge-of-your-seat horror thriller Boarding School on August 21 at the fabulous Brooklyn Alamo Drafthouse Cinema drafthouse.com/nyc (445 Albee Square West; 718-513-2547). This is one scary movie that can’t be missed! Plus, Yakin will introduce the movie and stay for a Q&A, moderated by Dread’s Tony Timpone. Doors open at 7 pm. Multi-hyphenate Yakin directed such films as Remember the Titans, Safe, Max and Fresh; wrote films like The Punisher, Now You See Me 2 and From Dusk Till Dawn 2; and produced hits that included Now You See Me, the Hostel films and 2001 Maniacs.
In Yakin’s frightening film, troubled 12-year-old Jacob Felsen is sent away to boarding school, where he enters every kid’s worst nightmare: a creepy old mansion, deserted except for six other teenage misfits and two menacing and mysterious teachers. As events become increasingly horrific, Jacob must conquer his fears to find the strength to survive.
