What If Georgie From Stephen King’s IT (1990) Returned?
What if, years after his apparent death, Georgie Denbrough from Stephen King’s IT returned to the screen?
The written and documentary film work of John Campopiano and Ryan Grulich have focused on telling stories not yet told–hidden truths of film, television, and pop culture. With their newest project, Georgie –an experiment in fantastical reinventions–the award-winning filmmakers have now partnered with original star of the IT television miniseries, Tony Dakota (Georgie) to reimagine the unparalleled horror of Stephen King’s most iconic story and one of it’s most tragic characters, Georgie.
Georgie started out as an adventurous idea “what if?” What if, years after his apparent death, Georgie Denbrough returned to the screen? As two ardent fans of the 1990 miniseries, John and Ryan decided they wanted to explore the possibilities of that very scenario in the form of a short film.
The short film has just launched an IndieGoGo campaign and you can check it out in the link below. Perks offered include a signed & personalized postcard from Tony Dakota with artwork by Tom Ryan (Limited to 150), a Theater of Creeps enamel pin (to the right) with artwork by Zachary Jackson Brown (Limited to 225), Fright-Rags t-shirt with artwork by Zachary Jackson Brown, Official 11×17 poster signed by Tony Dakota!
