Gamescom 2018: Latest WORLD WAR Z Game Trailer Promises A Dynamic Gore System
Everything we’ve seen of the World War Z video game so far indicates that it will be a fast-paced and enjoyable zombie shooter, and the Gamescom trailer was no exception. This was also the bloodiest trailer yet, so while the film might have been rated PG-13, the game sure as shit won’t be rated T. We’ve been promised an ‘advanced gore system’, and it looks like they’re going to deliver.
Thanks to developer Saber Interactive’s trademarked Swarm Engine, the game will be capable of depicting literally hundreds of zombies onscreen at once, and just like in the movie, they will also occasionally pile on top of each other to create giant zombie pyramids. And, in addition to the classic slow and lumbering living dead, we also saw from the trailer that the game will pit you against fast-moving and heavily armored zombie troops, so you’ll need to have all your wits about you if you want to make it out alive.
World War Z does not yet have a firm release date, although it will be making its way onto PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime next year. With the next WWZ film facing numerous delays, it looks like the game will at least keep interest in the franchise alive for the time being.
