Johnson & Hammer Filming New Cockroach Horror-Thriller BLATTODEA

Dakota Johnson (Suspiria) and Armie Hammer (The Social Network) are currently filming a new movie in New Orleans called, Blattodea, which is the scientific order of the common cockroach. Interesting.

The film is described as a horror-thriller about a New Orleans bartender whose life begins to fall apart after he finds a phone left behind by a stranger at his bar.

No word on if this film is a killer cockroach movie or not. Let’s cross our fingers and pray to all the movie gods that it is though.

The film is directed by British-Iranian writer and director, Babak Anvari and is slated for release on March 2019.

We’ll let you know when we hear more! Until then, remember that Dakota Johnson can be seen next in director Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Dario Argento’s classic Suspiria, which hits theaters November 2nd.

Synopsis:

Susie Bannion, a young American woman, travels to the prestigious Markos Tanz Company in Berlin in the year 1977. She arrives just as one of the Company’s members, Patricia, has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. As Susie makes extraordinary progress under the guidance of Madame Blanc, the Company’s revolutionary artistic director, she befriends another dancer, Sara, who shares her suspicions that the Matrons, and the Company itself, may be harboring a dark and menacing secret.
