Guadagnino Wants SUSPIRIA: PART TWO
Director Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Dario Argento’s classic Suspiria dances its way into theaters this November via Amazon Studios. And today we already have word that there may be a sequel or two down the road.
“At the beginning, we were going to title the movie Suspiria: Part One,” Guadagnino told Deadline. “But we didn’t want to give the impression of something that couldn’t stand alone. Truthfully, I’d be interested to explore the origin of Madame Blanc and Helena Marcus and the future of Suzy Bannion.”
Argento’s original film was followed up by two semi-sequels with Inferno and Mother of Tears, but this seems like Guadagnino is planning direct sequels and prequels. Interesting… Let’s hope they come to fruition!
