Nic Cage is an Unhinged Madman in Japanese Trailer for MANDY
If the sex offender controversy surrounding Shane Black’s The Predator has you rethinking checking the film out when it arrives in theaters this Friday, September 14th, there is another option: The bloody Nicholas Cage revenge shocker Mandy, directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Stewart-Ahn. Now, I’m a Cage fan to begin with, so I need no convincing; if you’re on the fence, however, the insane trailer produced for the Japanese film market might just whet your appetite!
Cage is nothing short of unhinged as he rushed into the eye of a surreal, nightmarish storm of chaos. Give the Japanese trailer a spin below, after the film’s synopsis.
Synopsis:
In the Pacific Northwest in 1983, outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with deadly fire.
In addition to Cage, Mandy stars Andrea Riseborough, Linus Roache, Ned Dennehy, and Richard Brake.
