Director Reveals Production Start Date for ZOMBIELAND 2
It’s been almost a decade since we last saw the rag-tag band of zombie hunters Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock from Zombieland, 2009’s hit horror comedy, but all that’s about to change. Original Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer had gotten the band back together for a sequel! In a recent interview with Fandango, Fleischer offered a status update on the project certain to get fans amped.
Not only will he be working with all four original cast members, the production is moving full-steam ahead with plans to go before cameras in January!
“I’m thrilled! We’re already actually starting Zombieland. I’ve been scouting and storyboarding and getting it going, and to get to work with that cast again is just an absolute dream come true. It’s been really exciting starting to think about that movie, and to get to work with Emma [Stone], Jesse [Eisenberg], Woody [Harrelson], and Abigail [Breslin] once again is truly a dream come true. Yeah, we’re just at the very early stages, but we have an amazing script, and we’re going to start shooting in Georgia in January.”
We’ll keep you posted on all Zombieland 2-related news as details emerge, so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can revisit the synopsis and trailer for 2009’s Zombieland below.
