Exclusive STRVNGERS Documentary on How “People are Strvnge” and Covering KORN’s “A.D.I.D.A.S.”

Here at Dread Central, we take pride in supporting artists and creators with the work they put out as well as giving them a chance to discuss the efforts they underwent to produce their final product. But what many people often don’t see is the journey they take to get from point A to point B…or any other point after that. It’s why we’re very excited today to exclusively premiere a mini-documentary called “People are Strvnge” from dark electropop group Strvngers (above), as well as their cover of Korn‘s “A.D.I.D.A.S.” (below).

The documentary follows the band’s journey as they travel from Alberta, Canada to Austin, Texas to perform at SXSW Music Festival, their first non-Alberta gig. It’s a journey of thousands of miles, a look into the band and their personal and professional origins, and a chance to see just how passionate and dedicated people can be when they follow their dreams.

Maria Joaquin, vocalist/composer, explains, “We’ve been in so many bands, but never had a music project make it out of our city, let alone to SXSW. It’s why we don’t take any of this for granted, and it felt like an important moment in Strvngers to document. We’re really glad we did, we feel beyond fortunate to be able to share this experience with our Witches and Warlocks.”

The band’s upcoming EP Exhumed Vol. 2 will be coming out October 13 via Negative Gain. You can pre-order it on Bandcamp.
