Here’s Your New Victor Pascow in Stephen King’s PET SEMATARY Remake

Like many of you out there, Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer’s upcoming remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is high on my must-see list. We’ve had our first look and all, but today we have word on a classic character’s return!

Yes, today we learned that not only will Victor Pascow be in this new film (I was worried there for a second) but we know via EW that the friendly ghost will be played by Obssa Ahmed (picture to the right from The Expanse)

“We have this very normal student,” Widmyer says about Pascow. “But the voice that’s speaking through him is an ancient voice trying to warn [Louis].”

Sounds like creepy good times to us! Plus from that pic to the right, I think Ahmed has what it takes to play a creepy-ass new Pascow. Again, this remake’s casting is spot-on!

The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer from a screenplay written by David Kajganich and Jeff Buhler, based on the novel by Stephen King. It stars Amy Seimetz, Jason Clarke, and John Lithgow and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Steven Schneider, and Mark Vahradian.

The remake hits theatres on April 5, 2019.

Synopsis:

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
