Exclusive Look at Limited Edition HALLOWEEN: 40 YEARS OF TERROR Poster by “Ghoulish” Gary Pullin!
Those attending the Halloween: 40 Years of Terror convention in Pasadena, California this weekend will want to make sure to visit “Ghoulish” Gary Pullin’s table. He’ll be talking to fans and signing autographs; attendees will have the opportunity to pick up his recent book, Ghoulish, while perusing many dozens of the renowned artist’s most popular prints.
Pullin created a new Halloween poster specifically for the 40 Years of Terror convention, and Dread Central is proud to offer our readers this exclusive look. It’s a double bill for Halloween (1978) and Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988). Halloween 4 is often considered one of the best sequels in the franchise launched by John Carpenter. Of course, most of us haven’t seen Blumhouse’s Halloween yet; it’s set to slash into theaters on October 19th.
Check out the 2 poster variations below, along with details and a statement from Pullin.

“Having created a lot artwork for the Halloween series and the multiple sequels, I wanted to do something a bit different for the 40th anniversary. Those old newspaper ads for horror films were frame worthy of themselves and often featured new or alternative artwork, unique from the theatrical posters. I imagine this ad would be something I would have clipped out and saved in school binder back in 1988.”
Dread Central was also lucky enough to sit down with Pullin recently for an in-depth interview where we discussed his entire career. Stay tuned for that exclusive sometime next week!
