A TV Series Based on Ridley Scott’s ALIEN Franchise Could Be Coming To a Streaming Service Soon

Horror fans who followed my ramblings before I came to Dread Central know I’m a huge fan of the Alien franchise launched by Ridley Scott in 1979. The prequel movies Prometheus and Alien Covenant, not so much, but that’s another story. With the pending sale of 20th Century Fox to Disney, the future of the seminal horror/sci-fi serious is seriously nebulous. We’re hearing murmurs that suggest, however, that the next Alien project could manifest as a TV series.

UK film critic and YouTuber Mr. H has a source who claims an Alien TV series will be a reality. Additionally, he says the series will premiere on a streaming service, although he didn’t state which one. While these statements must be considered rumors until they’re officially confirmed, Mr. H’s sources have proven accurate in the past.

Obviously, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground in order to bring you any official Alien-related news as details emerge, so stay tuned!
