We Take You Into LET THE RIGHT ONE IN Author’s Next Film BORDER With an Exclusive Clip and Photo
2008’s Let The Right One In was, and still is, one of the greatest vampire movies ever released. Based on author John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel of the same name, the film went on to become a darling in the horror community, as well as endearing itself to the film community at large. It went on to win dozens upon dozens of awards during its festival run and was critically lauded upon release. So naturally, there is a lot of attention focused on Border, the latest film based on Lindqvist’s work.
“A customs officer who can smell fear develops an unusual attraction to a strange traveler while aiding a police investigation which will call into question her entire existence.”
Today, we have an exclusive clip and photo from the film that you can see below. While the photo may not offer too much in the way of information, the clip is something different altogether. The main character Tina is driving along a dark and winding road when she’s stopped in the rain by someone who knows her. Asked to drive to the hospital because his wife is in labor, Tina goes carefully through the trees before coming to a halt even though the road is clear. It seems her uncanny ability to sniff out potential danger alerted her to a potential driving hazard.
Directed by Ali Abbasi, who co-wrote the film alongside Isabella Eklöf and author John Ajvide Lindqvist, Border stars Eva Melander, Eero Milonoff, Jörgen Thorsson, and Ann Petrén.
Border comes to New York’s IFC Center on October 26th via NEON with a national rollout to follow.
