Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green’s direct sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween opened huge last weekend to a massive $77.5 million. So how did it do this weekend?
Go figure, it slaughtered the competition. Again.
Yes, Halloween scored an estimated $32 million in its second weekend of release, dipping 58%. It has now made a whopping $126 million domestically in just ten days in release, all on a $10 million budget. It was also the #1 film internationally with a take of $25.6 million for a global total over $172 million.
