VHS Double Feature DARK ROAST and ROOT OF ALL EVIL Now Available

It was just yesterday that we let you guys know that Dead by Midnight (11 pm Central) is now available on limited edition VHS via Broke Horror Fan. And today we have word that another VHS is heading our way.

This time Broke Horror Fan presents a double feature hosted by “Super Dracula” of two award-winning horror shorts, Dark Roast, and Root of All Evil. The two terrifying tales of Halloween horror are directed by Topher Hansson and Alex DiVincenzo (Broke Horror Fan himself).

The VHS, funny enough, comes with special features, so check them out along with the two shorts’ trailers below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments section or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Dark Roast/Root of All Evil ($10) double features VHS is available now from Witter Entertainment. Limited quantities of Adam Green’s Victor Crowley and the Halloween horror anthology Dead by Midnight are also available.

On Halloween night Vanessa and Nathan, of the punk band Piss Bucket, have their biggest show yet. All they have to do is kill time until the end of their shift serving coffee. But when bodies start to drop and threatening phone calls from a psycho killer pour in they soon realize time isn’t the only thing being killed.

A Halloween party turns deadly for a group of friends who disrespect an ancient tradition.

From working with George Romero on everything from Creepshow and Dawn of the Dead to Tales from the Darkside to the Dune miniseries to his Netflix series Residue...he's done it all. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
