Stephen King’s JOYLAND Series Coming From Freeform

Looks like the Stephen King novel Joyland is next on the adaptation chopping block as today we have word via THR that Freeform will be turning King’s 2013 novel into a potential series.

Bill Haber will executive produce alongside Chris Pena (Jane the Virgin). Cyrus Nowrasteh writes the adaptation and produce.

We are honored to be working with Stephen King — a master storyteller who understands the importance of culturally embedded tales that resonate with audiences on a deeply personal level,” said Karey Burke, exec VP programming and development at Freeform. “We can’t wait for Joyland to become part of Freeform’s offerings and haunt our viewers as only Stephen can.”
