GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is Finished

Get ready to hail the King—the King of Monsters!

Though the first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters hit the internet last summer following San Diego Comic Con, the film was still very much a work in progress. Now, after principal photography and reshoots, test-screenings and final edits, the movie is officially in the can! News of the movie’s completion came via the director himself, iconic horror filmmaker Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat) via Twitter.

It is done. With love and gratitude to the thousands of talented people all around the world who helped make this lifelong dream a reality. In Godzilla we trust. @GodzillaMovie

Godzilla: King of Monsters is slated for release on May 31st, 2019; the film stars Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, and Sally Hawkins. Give the trailer and synopsis a spin below.

Synopsis:
Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
