You can add another name to the list of those circling a role in Jaume Collet-Serra’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Akira. Oh, Bella. My how you’ve grown! Read on for the details.
According to Twitch, Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart (pictured right; Adventureland, The Runaways) has been offered the part of Kei, a young medium who becomes the love interest for Kaneda – the role already offered to Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy).
Gary Oldman and Helena Bonham Carter have also been offered parts in the Warner Bros. backed US adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo’s classic manga.
No one has officially signed on for active duty just yet, but we’ll keep an eye on things for you. More as soon as it comes.
