Trailer for The Asylum’s Latest Cash-Grab Sound-Alike NAZI OVERLORD
The business model for The Asylum is pretty easy to decipher: Identify current and upcoming horror trends, make semi-comparable films fast and cheap, and (finally) give them titles that are confusingly similar enough to fool media-buyers, predominantly those overseas. The studio has released such sound-alikes like Atlantic Rim, Snakes on a Train, Transmorphers, and AVH: Alien vs Hunter.
Their latest dubious release is Nazi Overlord, a film clearly attempting to cash-in on the buzz surrounding the box-office hit Overlord. In addition to taking place on the eve of D Day, it features secret Nazi labs and syringes filled with some sort of nefarious fluid. Give the trailer a spin above and the synopsis below.
Synopsis:
A D-Day rescue mission turns ugly when a band of Allied soldiers battle with horrific experiments created by the Nazis.
Nazi Overlord is directed by Rob Pallatina from a script lifted, I mean, written by Scotty Mullen; the film stars Tom Sizemore, Dominique Swain, and Andrew Liberty. Look for Nazi Overlord (or don’t) on DVD and VOD platforms beginning November 13th.
