Is Guillermo del Toro Producing an American Remake of TERRIFIED?
Shudder subscribers have been raving about the Argentine supernatural shocker Terrified (aka Aterrados) since it first hit the horror streaming service a few weeks back. Believe the hype and expect to see it adorning many Top Horror Movies of 2018 lists when they begin to flood the net in late December/early January. If you avoid foreign horror movies with subtitles, you may find accommodation of sorts in the not too distant future.
Our friends at Screen Anarchy just landed one hell of a scoop, suggesting that Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro is producing an American remake with the original’s director at the helm:
“We have just gotten word out of Argentina that Fox will announce that Guillermo del Toro is in talks to produce an English language remake of Demian Rugna’s tremendously entertaining paranormal shocker Terrified (Aterrados). Good news for our friend Rugna is that he will be returning to the director’s chair to remake his own film.”
