Producers Give Status Update on ANNABELLE 3
The Conjuring Universe launched by James Wan in 2012 delivered it’s most atmospheric and consistently terrifying installment yet earlier this year when The Nun haunted theaters in early September. The film’s success and the franchise’s overall popularity means fans can expect more movies in the coming years; two are currently in the works.
While The Conjuring 3 is set to begin filming in 2019, Annabelle 3 is deep into post-production in advance of its July 3rd release date. Producers gave an update via Twitter yesterday, one that reveals the film is currently undergoing editing. In Hollywood, directors are normally given 10 weeks to deliver a “first draft” assembly, after which the studio may conduct test-screenings and/or schedule reshoots. A trailer should follow after that.
Meaning: We’ll be keeping a close eye on Annabelle 3 in the new year!

Annabelle 3 (not the film’s official name, which is currently unknown) is written and directed by Gary Dauberman and stars Mckenna Grace, Vera Farmiga, and Patrick Wilson.
If you missed The Nun while it was in theaters, you’ll be able to pick it up on Blu-ray/DVD in exactly one week; give the synopsis and trailer a spin below.
Synopsis:
When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
The Nun is directed by Corin Hardy from a script penned by Gary Dauberman; the film stars Demián Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, and Jonas Bloquet.
