Full Trailer for CAPTIVE STATE Highlights the Politics of Extraterrestrial Occupation

We’ve seen a few teaser trailers for Captive State, a horror sci-fi arriving in US theaters this March, but the full trailer that hit the internet today gives us our first deep dive into what’s in store. It’s been 10 years since an alien race known as The Legislators took over our planet. Life as we know it has changed forever—not necessarily for the better.

Today’s trailer shows government intermediary John Goodman attempting to turn Gabriel into something of an informant. It’s revealed that we’re on the brink of a full-blown insurgency, where a scrappy band of rebels will attempt to wrest control of our planet back from its oppressors. Synopsis:
Residents of a Chicago neighborhood deal with life under extraterrestrial rule.

Captive State is directed by Rupert Wyatt from a screenplay he co-scribed with Erica Beeney. In addition to Goodman, the film stars Madeline Brewer (Cam) and Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring). Look for Captive State to invade US theaters beginning March 29th, 2019.
