Intense Trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman’s ST. AGATHA in Theaters February 8th

Corin Hardy’s The Nun, released last summer, sported a super creepy convent, but it doesn’t hold a monopoly when it comes to shocking “nunsploitation” movies coming down the pike. For example, we’ve just seen the trailer for Darren Lynn Bousman’s St. Agatha—and it looks incredibly intense. Sometimes, human monsters are scarier than any habit-wearing demon!

Synopsis:
Set in the 1950s in small-town Georgia, a pregnant young woman named Agatha seeks refuge in a convent. What first starts out as the perfect place to have a child turns into a dark layer where silence is forced, ghastly secrets are masked, and every bit of willpower Agatha has is tested as she learns the sick and twisted truth of the convent and the odd people that lurk inside its halls.

Bousman directed St. Agatha from a screenplay penned by Andy Demetrio, Shaun Fletcher, Sara Sometti Michaels, and Clint Sears; the film stars Sabrina Kern, Carolyn Hennesy, Courtney Halverson, Lindsay Seim, Hannah Fierman, Trin Miller, Seth Michaels, and Justin Miles.

Look for St. Agatha in limited theaters and on VOD platforms beginning February 8th, 2019.
