Guillermo del Toro-Produced SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK Movie Coming This Summer
The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark book series written by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell is getting the feature-film treatment, with 21st Century Master of Horror Guillermo del Toro producing. André Øvredal (Trollhunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) is directing from a screenplay written by Daniel Hageman, Kevin Hageman, and del Toro himself.
Look for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark to arrive in US theaters beginning August 9th, 2019. The film stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Austin Zajur, and Natalie Ganzhorn.
Synopsis:
Inspired by one of the most terrifying children’s book series of all time, SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town.
