Familiarize Yourself with THE RUSSIAN SLEEP EXPERIMENT Soon to Be a Major Motion Picture
While Slender Man may be the kind of creepypasta, The Russian Sleep Experiment has become one of the most popular urban legends of the 21st Century. While the creepypasta phenomenon was born in forums and message boards, YouTube became a vehicle for promoting these chilling stories and giving them worldwide audiences.
MrCreepyPasta created an audiobook style video back in 2011 that’s been viewed over 900K times. While not the first (and not as good, in my opinion), IReadCreepypastas created his own video on The Russian Sleep Experiment that has over 28 million views. It’s no wonder, then, that director Barry Andersson is spearheading a feature film based on the creepypasta called The Soviet Sleep Experiment.
It’s all still coming together, but Andersson hopes to have an assembled cut of The Soviet Sleep Experiment available to shop to distributors next Spring. Since it will take a while for this beast to come to fruition, there’s plenty of time to familiarize yourself with this vastly popular urban legend. To that end, check out MrCreepyPasta’s video embedded at the top of the article.
Synopsis:
The four test patients plucked from the gulag and promised their freedom in exchange for their participation include Chris Kattan (SNL, A Night at the Roxbury); Minnesota-based actors Charles Hubbell (Walking With the Enemy), Paul Cram (Wilson); and Michael Villar (Skin).
