Description of IT: CHAPTER TWO Footage Screened at Brazil Comic Con
Attendees of Brazil Comic-Con (aka CCXP in Sao Paulo) last weekend were lured into a panel held by Warner Bros and New Line with promises of a first look at the hotly anticipated sequel to Andy Muschietti’s 2017 blockbuster, IT. What they got, though, was a sizzle reel of behind the scenes footage. While I’m sure everyone would have preferred an actual look at what’s in store, it sounds like it was an exciting panel nonetheless.
The sizzle reel included a look at pre-production concept artwork, introductions to new cast members, and footage from the full casts’ first table read. Most exciting was a promise from Muschietti himself that “it will be serious, more intense, and have scarier moments.” IT: Chapter Two wrapped production last October eying a September 2019 release.
Synopsis:
Twenty-seven years after the horrific events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns. The Losers’ Club fulfills their promises and returns to Derry to put an end to the shape-shifting beast once and for all.
We don’t have a trailer yet, but we’ll definitely keep you posted! If it’s been a while, revisit 2017’s IT with the synopsis and trailer below.
Synopsis:
Seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine, are about to face their worst nightmare — an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the town’s children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise.
